This is a 1 of 1 Jordan GU auto. Look at the coin the Jordan collectors are dropping on rare Jordan cards like his Metal Universe Ruby and Emerald. Those are numbered to 10 and 100 and they are selling for $5-$10k. I think he gets a minimum of $10,000 for this card. Anyone know if there have been any other Jordan AUTO 1/1's in ebay auction?
more like $1000 or $900 or $800

That is a manufactured patch not GU. The database doesn't have the blue parrallel listed, but has it listed as white. UD will have the correct version of the parrallel listed in their checklist. That is a sweet card, but those metal gems and other rare inserts from the late 90's have some extra demand right now (the kids that collected then- have well paying jobs now), so the prices are inflated at the moment. This card on an open auction would probably see $2500-$3000. If someone gives $5000 they are buying it thinking that the patch is GU and it is not!
What boggles me most is the 51k ... If you put a stupidly high price why not just a round 50? What does this card have for it to be not 50, but 51k? lol
maybe I can get $10K for my card...
NEED: SPA 08-09 "CITY NAME LETTERS" G, E, S 1/1 & /3 *ALL LAKAERS
NEED: ELITE BLACK BOX LAKERS AUTOS (KAREEM/10 & BAYLOR/24) MY BUCKETT: http://photobucket.com/jpleazme *United States Navy*
They are very sweet looking cards. The manufactured patch is not a show stopper for me.
Jpleazme- what does your Kobe say on the back, any GU authentication statement? (09-22-2011, 03:54 PM)briankort Wrote: First off I would never spend that kind of money on a piece of cardboard.Especially not seeing it in person first. JonathanI
I appreciate Chicago players that begin competing within the city's sports organizations and stay with these teams throughout their careers.
Wow, I offered a decent amount (4 figures) and it was automatically declined.
Collecting Bob Feller, 1951 Bowman, anything Cleveland.
