I appreciate Chicago players that begin competing within the city's sports organizations and stay with these teams throughout their careers.

Dont I need to wait for the case to resolve? I dont want to get charged Final Value Fee. And yes its total hogwash.

Thats pretty lame... item was won on 12/11 so its already been a week, now he wants me to wait another 5-6 days I dont think so...A transaction on Ebay isnt any different then anywhere else. Can you wait 2 weeks to pay for cards at Target? NO

I wish this was true except eBay doesn't protect sellers in any way. Buyers can run amok and they know it. I just had someone try to file a claim, and when I agreed to let them return the jersey since I know eBay won't protect me they claimed their tracking number on the return to me was 1234. It took three phone calls to eBay and Paypal to get someone to realize this couldn't be right or acceptable.

I use eBay's automatic system to handle all non-paying deadbeats. The alert is filed automatically after 4 days and closes after 4 more. That way I don't have to worry about sending reminders and basically begging people to pay.

Somebody mentioned that maybe it's because of the Christmas season. I would think that would make people more inclined to pay quickly, especially if they are wanting to give what they buy as a gift. Of course, I currently have two cases open, three items awaiting payment, and two that went through the process without payment, so I don't know.

Don't close anything. You can't reopen it once you do and will have to eat those fees. Closing it won't strike the buyer either.

I dont know man, ebay is messing up by over protecting the buyer and stiffing the seller. I am not sure what you can do for certain as i never had a case like this one, but ebay has got to have some sort of protection for a seller too. All a person has gotta do is say i never received it or the packaging was damaged and item fell out, blah blah blah etc.

On top of all that ebay/paypal holds your payment till the buyer decides ok i will will verify and leave good feedback.

No they dont. Maybe that is something new they do to beginning sellers or something. I get my money as soon as they pay.
