I have stayed on baseball so far with this thread, and have been tempted to make similar threads for other sports, but I know I don't have the time each day to do so. I am going to veer off course for one day today, and maybe occasionally in the future, but will try to maintain fun baseball cards the majority of the time. The card I am showing today, is one I had to share after seeing it. I didn't even know about this card until today, and when I saw it I knew I had to share it.
In the early 90s a lot of card companies were putting out non-sports cards for just about everything from TV shows, comic books, musicians, the war in the middle east, and anything else that was in pop culture at the time. I remember getting a few random packs from time to time. I specifically remember Pro Set putting out a "Yo! MTV Raps" set in 1991, but never really thought much about it since. Well apparently a company called Premier Cards also put out a rap set in 1991, and called it "Rap Pack". What makes this set interesting is the early card of a now cross-over artist, Kid Rock. The picture of Kid Rock in 1991 is definitely way different from how he looks now, but it made me laugh and I had to share it. Kid Rock actually has 2 cards in the set, but I am putting card #63 as the card of the day simply because of his hair in this picture. There are definitely some styles of the early 90s that I don't miss.
