SO the series 1 checklist is out for Upper Deck 2023-24 and Connor Bedard is NOT ON the young guns rc list.

Series 2 will be pretty smokin' then.

Series 2 will be so fun. He also has some Game Dated Moments cards out too, which are super popular of course.

I have a Team Canada card of Connor of some sort allegedly on the way, I'm pretty sure it's not a custom.

Happy to report I got a beauty of a Connor card today - 2023 Upper Deck Canada Juniors, appears to be a base card, #8 in the set.

Of course I forgot my phone to post a scan but I'm pretty happy with it.

(And if you squint it looks like a Blackhawks card)

This is not my card, I took a screen shot from DBay, but this is similar to the one I got today ...


 

There are a couple of nice foil/holo elements on the front and back of the card that really make it pop.

Definitely a great filler until I can pull my own card.

Weird thing - I haven’t seen any Series 1 around here at all and I highly doubt the DBN have hoarded them just looking for the Bedard SP.

I’m wondering if the card stock lady has enough pull that she told her distributor that hockey doesn’t sell around here?

(Though they did get MVP, so … ?)

The OPC gloosy rookies in series 1 where not in a seperate pack, they where a regular retail only insert.
