Nah in 6 months the same set builders offering peanuts still wont have the set completed because no one took their lowball offers haha It is still only possible to complete 249 sets of these and thats imossible to do. Its a very short print set. Heck the rookie quads are #/199, only 50 sets less. So maybe by your theory those will be worth worthless in 6 months too? lol

When I say "worthless" I don't mean go wipe your butt with them, but I wouldn't expect anything but minor pocket change after a little bit. Also, we're talking base, Rookie Quads are RCs and have mem pieces (and are numbered lower too) so comparing them makes no sense.

No you didnt offend me at all. lol and if all the guy is doing is advertising on ebay, he would get alot more selling them in a set builders card lot like I do with mine.

i dont think they will be worthless, sure there is kind of a "buzz" with people rushing to try and put together sets. But i think there will still be people needing these cards in 6 months, even a year because it will be a difficult set to finish

My bad, I apologize. I didn't mean to offend anyone, base /249 just aren't worth much of anything unless they're major names, IMO, and even then, the numbering doesn't guarantee anything. There's nice cards #/100 that can't sell for $0.99. How does #/249 make it better?

Im considering it, simply because I know it will be a hard set to complete. however, better judgement has me to believe that it will be a whole lot easier/cheaper/lighter on the paypal wallet to do it in a month or twos time. besides I have two other sets im working on already,

My opinion buy the players you like, pay the "newest thing" premium and be happy. as a set builder, I am just not ready to put 3-600 into these, its nice, but I want to see some consistancy of product before I go out and spend that kind of money.

lol I wouldnt go that far. I think further down the road like in a year or so when PC collectors realized they missed em at the time, they'll go for that. That would be nice though if ya could get $10-$20 per. I sold my Jagr-$5, Mike Smith-$5, Versteeg-$1.50, Jovo-$2.50 & Getzlaf-$2.50... I put the rest of my mid/low tiers up for BINs of $1.50, and kept my Price & Eberle at $6-$7. Think I have marc-andre fluery at $5. I only have some of my base cards & 6 other cards left from all 7 boxes I broke to sell them im done & can go buy some more. Ill make about $40 profit, which surprized me cause I woulda been happy breakin even or takin a $100-$200 loss. Just tryin to get rid of em to get more and hopefully land a Ties haha
