RE: Why grade a 1/1?

Protection is why I will get every single 1/1 graded... After all why wouldnt you protect a one of a kind item? As for authentication - the blue label will kill your value in the short term and long run.
PERFECTLY SAID!!!

i have 2 - 1/1s from a set and they are both getting graded...i just cant look at the blue label forever..or i would authenticate the set instead of grading them...if i get a 2-8s or whatever...so be it....WAY better than a toploader or Mag. holder...

RE: Why grade a 1/1?
I dont think the blue labels look bad (havent seen one in person) but what it does is make me think the card was submitted with a minimum grade which is usually a 9 or higher and the card doesnt make that grade is thrown into a blue label case. Something about that makes me feel Im buying a damaged card.

It's a 1/1, you need to care for it the best you can while you own it. Don't be responsible for ruining the only card of its kind...

If it is in fact altered the blue label will say Authentic Altered. Wont say what is altered but it does tell you its altered. I have a Karl Malone RC that is labeled altered.
