OMG, watching that video. You would think the card companys could do a better seal job or come up with a color change when you break the seal. Also, all card boxes/tins should be a final sale and they should train the staff at the return desks to not take any back. In my world this is a feederal crime called F-R-A-U-D!

Im sure they could easily put a color change thing on packs, like when you peel the sticker on products and WARRENTY VOID appears, but the thing is a retail store has many more things to worry bout then the small lil sections of cards they have. The only soloution would be a "sales final" rule like you stated. A lot of retail chains do that with liquor, cigs & medicine. Just make it policy so cards are included too

The problem lies in the Big Box stores only pay for what cards are sold so they have nothing to lose and are clueless to the card collecting hobby.

Out of everything they sell, I'm pretty sure sports cards is one of the absolute lowest in priority on their list.
Plus you've got a bunch of people who don't know Stamkos from Racicot working for minimum wage, so they don't care and I don't really blame them.
The idea that kids or people who don't know any better are getting shafted this way, but it's a buyer beware kind of world and nothing is going to change that.
It sucks to say it, but it's true.
