Pitchers have the Cy Young for top pitcher.
Hitters have the Hank Aaron Award for top hitter.
Fielders have the Gold Glove Awards for top fielder (even though we know that's not always true).
The "pitchers have their own award" argument is lame.

Remember, in 2010, my Tigers got ripped off when Feliz was named Rookie of the Year when Austin Jackson had clearly earned it by playing awesome baseball for 100+ games more than Feliz appeared in, and Jackson's were full games, not 3 or 4 outs at the end of the game. I see it as a little bit of justice, on a team level, at least.
Yeah but Jackson strikes out way too much which is one of the main reasons the Yankees got rid of him.
