Older fun sets to collect...

Older fun sets to collect...
not too much of a set collector anymore, but going through my collections at some older sets I started on and never finished I thought this would make a good topic to dicuss.
Feel free to list any sets you started but never finished and if you plan on ever finishing the set(s). I'll start.

1998 Pinnacle Plus (124 out of 200 complete)
2000 Topps Stars (89 out of 200 complete)
1999 Upper Deck Hologrfx Ausome (10 of 60 complete)
1996 Topps Profiles (23 out of 40 complete)

I would probably like to finish these at some point more than some others I have that are not completed.

RE: Older fun sets to collect...
I loved 1995 Collector's Choice when I was growing up...have a complete Silver Signature Set

Also collecting these insert sets--mainly because they include cards of most of the stars of the 90s and I remember pulling them when I was collecting as a kid and they were the coolest cards ever!!

-1995 Studio Platinum (25/25--waiting on the last few in the mail)
-1996 Score All-Stars (15/20--75%)
-1996 Fleer Update Diamond Tribute (3/10)
Collecting: Fred McGriff, Chipper, Griffey, and Todd Helton.

RE: Older fun sets to collect...
I started collecting baseball cards in the summer of 1990. I've collected one player and only one player during this time. However, I did start to put together a 1990 Upper Deck set. I don't remember how far I got with it. But, I in no way, see myself finishing it.

that's like an 800 card set. It would be much easier to buy the factory set IMO

1992 Pinnacle Series 1-- 309 of 310 (missing #46)
1993 Fleer Series 1-- 355 of 360 (missing #'s 17, 105, 159, 255, 350)
2004 Flair-- I had the whole set until Beckett messed me up and I traded away the Jeter card. I still haven't found a replacement.

I do plan to complete these sets.

RE: Older fun sets to collect...
I have recently started back up with my 1997 ultra set. I was just doing the Series 1 master set which I am almost finished with and I added the series 2 base set.

1998 Donruss Preferred (not sure anymore but I was really close to finishing)
1998 Donruss Collections (don't know, don;t want to try to read the card numbers which were practically printed in invisible ink)
2004 Sweet Spot (I'd know if my Org survived the changeover)

I would love to work on those older sets more, maybe in the baseball offseason I'll pick em back up again.
I really like this thread, I'm gonna check to see if I can't help any of these other sets that everyone;s posted.
