Correct! But it's well worth it. I enjoy getting the magazine. The OPG & ORG are terrific, but having the mag is better. Even though you get most of what's printed in some electronic form, there's still something about having the paper. both are better than either one alone. Synergy, I believe!

I guess if I saved used tinfoil and used tea bags instead of old comic books and old baseball cards, the difference between a crazed hoarder and a savvy collector is in that inherent value.

It's back to the hobby, Thank you! I collected from 1989-1997 and then again 2004-2007 off and on baseball only, in 2007 I started collecting Football and unloaded all of my baseball. I just recently started collecting baseball again and have decided to take a step away from football for a while, except for my PC's. I guess the Orioles recent success has something to do with me having the baseball itch again, whatever it is, I got the itch, and I got it bad....lol

I get that eye-roll quite often. Must be a Wives Club thing! Smile
I enjoy ripping open packs much more than I like organizing them.
My floor has stacks and stacks of cards that need to be put into some order. Every time I think I have a handle on it, there's a new product that hits the market and I'm right back where I started.
I'll get my trade list up and running and we'll 'talk" !
Welcome to the Hobby! (or is it Welcome Back to the Hobby?) Either way, glad to have you aboard!

I understand your "luck" all too well. It is actually rare to see someone admit in the forum that they opened packs only to find mostly duplicates and ho-hum cards. I thought that only happened to me.
Always looking for Al Kaline cards - Mr. Tiger!

Popson, my son, you're in good company.
There's no shame in admitting the truth for we all know that for every great hit, insane pull, or amazing auto that is reported, there's gotta be 100X more failure. That's the other side of the coin, called The Law Of Averages. Smile

I was going to post a new thread that I got lucky today and got 2 decent blasters of GQ, but really, luck has nothing to do with it. I bought 5+ blasters prior to that and got nada. It's called The Law Of Averages! I spent over $140 to get essentially 2 autos, while I could have spent $85 (+ or -) on a hobby box and got 2 autos and 2 relics.! (Sounds downright foolish, right?!?) A gambler only tells you when he wins, or when he wins BIG, but rarely tells you of the many more times when he loses or just breaks even. Not as news worthy? Smile
The Law Of Averages is the great equalizer.
have fun, keep ripping responsibly.Smile
