Fanatics Destined to make the same mistake.....

RE: Fanatics Destined to make the same mistake.....
I like less selection, but more than one company. I would rather have 1-3 rookie cards of a player, instead of 50.
Collecting 2010 Bowman, 80s oddball rookies, and '89 Griffeys.

Definitely made it easier without 50 products plus all the parallels and inserts.

Though I do enjoy the autos and mem cards these days.

I was referring to quality, not quantity, as being poor selection in the 80's. I mean, did anybody like the bright orange or yellow card sets?! Or cards with the outline of stick of gum on it?!

I actually enjoyed the Donruss set with the red borders. The cards weren't the greatest, but I loved them when I was a kid.

Card companies need to adopt the less is more mindset.
All-time favorite insert card designs:

  1. 1991 Donruss Elite
  2. 1995 Studio Platinum
  3. 1994 Flair Hot Glove
  4. 1993 Ultra Award Winners
  5. 2001 Bowman Heritage Chrome
  6. 1994 Fleer All-Stars

I did like the 1985 Fleer set with Puckett RC, which I never pulled.

FantaTopps is sure to make a whole lot of new mistakes - like I don't know, making baseball cards of people who never played baseball in order to raise the price and promote their box breakers.

Could not think of anything I'd rather not have than a card of some DB case breaker.

I could see Leaf doing that - they are already making cards of Social Media influencers
