Kris Bryant is hot - but really?
Is this for real?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-Bowman-Chro...3aa5f5673f

If the link does not work, search the bay for
"2014 Bowman Chrome Black Wave Refractor Auto Kris Bryant /50 USED REDEMPTION"

Is Kris Bryant really hot enough for this USED redemption to be worth .....

Yep, but not for $100. Don't even try to defend!

I'm tired of this sh$t! It is nothing but a plague on the hobby.

How much is the black wave refractor costing right now? Several thousands of dollars. If I had that kind of coin to drop on cardboard, I wouldn't mind dropping 5% to have the redemption that went along with it.

When I had the Cespedes Lucky redemption auto, I paid $10 for the used redemption card to have alongside it. Cost me 10% of the lucky redemption card itself lol.
PC Players: Alex Bregman and Christian Yelich. Looking for any and every I don't have.
Other Players: Luis Ortiz Jr., Rowdy Tellez, Touki Toussaint

I tried to offer the guy $0.02, but Ebay wouldn't let me bid less than $0.99. I wasn't gonna offer that just in case he actually accepted! I didn't want to be out a dollar!

Maybe not $100 but if he gets offered 75% of the asking price...

It's perfectly fine to list the redeemed card as long as the title and description are clear, even if ultimately the common eBay plague of not reading either comes into play. There's also the lesser thought of factor of certain buyers thinking they can either con Topps into giving them the card by claiming the code didn't work or trying to "crack the code" by using combinations close to the printed one. When neither works they simply return the item for a full refund because eBay's refund policy is as simple as doing it no matter what the seller states is their actual policy.

As stated by others, there are multiple other reasons people collect used and expired redemptions. Player collectors are fanatical about owning everything. Set completists want them to have true master sets. Others have them as placeholders until they can get the real card in their place.

There's also the matter of this auction, where with under a day left there are 3 accounts fighting it out for what is vague in the title but clear in the description:

Selling of used redemption cards just get my goat but yes I understand and do agree with what you said.

The easiest way for sellers to be clear is to say, "This is not an auction for card XYZ but for the used redemption card of card XYZ.
Leaves no interpretation issues and I have no problems with sellers doing this because it's clear.
