Just curious
Is it me or is there just not as much trading activity for 2013 Bowman? It just seems there haven't been as many trade threads as for some other new products recently.

I think trading is down as a whole on here. I have only done 3 trades in the last month or so, and 2 of them were with the same guy. It's really frustrating.

As for Bowman specifically, I think people might be waiting until it comes out in the book or OPG. Or, people really pay well for prospect autos, refractors, etc.. So they might be selling instead of trading.

I just don't understand the concept. You can get some nice vintage HOFers or stars for the same price as some of these prospects that have just been drafted or have been playing in the minors and haven't stepped foot on an MLB diamond.

Haven't seen much activity on here for any set since gypsy queen, as far as trading goes ive had to go look for trades a lot more. Anytime I start a thread on here I get zero responses. It has a lot to do with the fact I only collect a few sets, players though.

The Trout not drawing a ton of interest is probably a couple of things. First, I think everybody is waiting for the drop to come and they don't want to overpay/overtrade for it. Second, there's probably a lot of people that would be interested, but just don't have the goods to make a legitimate run at it. Third, when his stuff really took off last year a lot of people went out and picked them on Ebay and here and now they have them.

I fit into the second of those categories. lol

I think once we really get into summer and the season gets center stage after NHL and NBA playoffs are done it'll pick up again. Maybe not to the levels it was at before, but a reasonable amount of traffic.

It's sad how much things have dropped off here in the past 2 years, since I first joined. but it always seems to pick up around summertime- so I hope it will!

Last year bowman was loaded with Harper, Trout and Darvish, rookies that led to a huge demand. When Beckett does the update on the org with the new twist it will increase trading.

I'm still averaging around 5 trades a week, but I make a lot of cold offers. Probably 1 out of 5 stems from the board. IMO Bowman is a tough set because if you don't know anything about prospects, it's a lot less climatic.
