Mail Issue - Should I be worried?
Hi All,
I have a package that I am waiting on that has been sitting dead at the sorting facitily, here are the detail....
Processed through USPS Sort Facility
Apr-03-13, 05:55 AM, BOSTON, MA 02205
Depart USPS Sort Facility
Apr-03-13, 00:00 AM, BOSTON, MA 02205
Processed at USPS Origin Sort Facility
Apr-02-13, 01:49 AM, TAMPA, FL 33605
Accepted at USPS Origin Sort Facility
Apr-02-13, 00:34 AM, TAMPA, FL 33646
Depart USPS Sort Facility
Apr-02-13, 00:00 AM, TAMPA, FL 33605
Basically it went from FL to MA in only 1 day, and now has been sitting at the Boston sort facility. I am right next to the city, so usually when its at the sort facility I get it that day or the next at worst. Should I be worried at this point?

The USPS has been screwy for about two or three weeks now ... stuff that used to take 2 days cross country (!) is now taking five plus. I wouldn't worry, the tracking number helps greatly.

Every time I have sent something that has sat for a few days.... I call the USPS customer service with the tracking number and miraculously the next day there is movement!

if it is shipped first class it will sit while priority mail and express is sorted as they take precedence. i believe parcel mail volume is also up as UPS strike rumors are growing.
