first and foremost it's the OP's thread and well he can make the rules as he see's fit ..... way too many of these fun threads have gone "sour" in past since many "newbies" have taken advantage of long term members generosity and never returned the favour that was so generously passed on to them.

I'll apologize for my words now Charles, I know what you have done here was to benefit the membership but I'm tired of folks crapping on threads like yours "just because" .....

Beckett used to be a place where we all played and had fun ..... both pbeanjr and myself used to run threads like this but got tired of being crapped on because we made them for "kids only" and the "adults" felt that we weren't being "fair" to them ..... so I know and understand where you may be this morning when you read some of the comments posted by members on your thread.

Lump was spot on, and if I lose a few more friends because of my thoughts, so be it ..... I'm just really getting tired of this, it's really taking the fun out of the hobby for me .....

I would agree spot on... minus his trashing me personally... there was absolutely no need for it, and actually, I never expected it from a Beckett member let alone a Senior one... but it is what it is...

My only comment on the whole matter is. It's my thread as long as I don't scam anyone I'll run it like I want. You don't like it then add me to ignore and do us both a favor...I could careless. That's not directed at anyone in particular, that's meant for anyone that decided to get their feelings hurt by me. Now I'm done with the matter as I'm not a keyboard warrior. well since my complaint was used in this ill add my quick 2 cents and leave.

yeah i pissed, and im over it. why, because i was in the pay it forward, i sent out my end and never recieved anything in return, i fullfilled my obligations for the thread. i was mostly pissed because england didnt do his homework. there are two people in this group of pay it forward that were in the one i was involved with. and those 2 people never sent out thier ends, and helped contribute to the death of the group. but since they had their 1000 posts and 100 trades they were allowed in..

im sorry that i dont respond to everyones mail thread with "hey man nice card" "sick patch dude", i reply to threads when i have something to contribute, or when i have an actual compliment.

with all that being said. i hope this version of pay it forward succeeds, just cuz there are some members in here, that do deserve to get some nice cards sent from them because of they are good people.

If you had issues with people sending out their end of the deal in yours then pm and let me know. I don't play favorites....I'll gladly remove them here if I found out they didn't play by the rules.

Blah blah......just busting chops people.....everyone has been too touchy lately,it cardboard people.....I will always be a kid no matter how old i get, not gonna change that for anyone......if you take life to seriously all the time you will always be miserable and probably be all alone most of the time.....that's why I laugh at myself every chance i get......even if I'm the only one that thinks I'm funny, so be it.......SO THERE......:p

I'm not one to chime in on a lot of things, but I was one of the members that got pissed about being turned down, and here is my reasoning.

I've been on this site a little over 7 months now, and in my 7 months, I've got nearly 500 postings, and near 80 trades.

While I was turned down based upon one/both of these reasons there are other members who have far less trades than I do, and not quite 1000 posts, but were allowed to join because of having 1000 posts. I'm not pointing any fingers here, but this seemed to me at the time to be more of a "click" thing that you had to know the OP quite well or been around for sometime in order to join.

I'm over the fact of it now, and have already said that I most likely won't participate in these in the future due to the issues of people slacking with shipping their ends out.

I'm more than happy for everyone that does receive whatever they get from this, and thought that it would be an awesome way to build my collection while sharing something with someone else that had something I could give up.

Regardless I'll bow out here, but lump was correct in the sense of it, but also fails in my opinion to realize that this is the internet, and people are going to rant and rave over something, and it seems to have offended him.

He knows me quite well and knows I'm not a dirtbag. He told me he wanted to start one before he even posted it and asked if I was interested. Maybe it is a click thing. Who knows....but it came down to him being able to trust that people involved would come through and not leave people hanging. That's it.

No, I don't trade a lot because normally, I don't have a lot of stuff I want to trade and it's easier for me to go and buy what I need than to try and negotiate a trade. No...I don't post a ton either. I post when I have something valid to say. I don't post to post. Lastly, you've done a few trades with me and know that I am trustworthy and when I do trade, I send my end out the very next day. I'm not attacking you at all. I just feel the need to stick up for myself. You've been a good trader and easy to deal with and I think all around you are a great member here on Beckett. I even talk to you via email sometimes about non trade related stuff.

All that aside....what the hell people?!?! Why do people continue to attack others on the boards lately? It's gotten a tad bit ridiculous in my opinion. Everyone needs to chill out. We are essentially arguing over cardboard...the same stuff cereal boxes are made out of.....very expensive cereal boxes...but cardboard none the less. We are all here because we love the hobby and love to talk about it, so lets just all get along eh?
