+1, busted five boxes of Preferred and haven't come even close to pulling anything worth it. Best card was a Bill Walton auto /5, not even close to getting $1K value.

Dwight Howard
Kevin Love
Aaron Brooks
Brook Lopez
Chris Bosh
Bill Russell
LaMarcus Aldridge
Rajon Rondo
Kevin Garnett
Gary Payton
Brandon Jennings
Paul Pierce
Pau Gasol
Deron Williams
Tony Parker
David Lee
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

out of Gold & Black... I would recommend Black. The triple autos are Beautiful. Love their USA cards too.. I was not too thrilled about Gold. I wasn't too happy with the Black case I got.. you might do better.

Preferred is a nice product, but to try & get your money back & pull some PC cards.. it is hard. Too big of a checklist... so odds are against you. I broke a case & didn't come close to getting $2K worth of cards... will have to wait & see what the BV comes out to be... Best card I pulled out of a case + 4 boxes of Preferred was a Bill Russell auto /5, Clyde Drexler prime/auto/25, & Toni Kukoc prime/patch/25....

my Preferred & Black Box case breaks:

Yeah I'm in agreement as well. Elite Black came out at $250/box now it's down to $160 pretty much everywhere. Decent chance to make your money back at that price, if that's your goal.
I collect Michael Jordan, Mitch Richmond, and Ohio State players (football and basketball) in OSU gear. I strongly prefer 90's-era cards and use newer cards primarily for trade bait!

Exactly, and/or pulled and not reported online anywhere. Which is obviously a possibility as well.

I had heard that they had taken the precaution of getting the majority of these redemptions out in early packages, both to boost hype about the product and b/c these aren't treated like the normal redemption process. Apparently, if there are any left, they are already packaged and ready to go and the collector gets the card in a couple weeks.

Can anybody confirm this, or am I losing my mind?

As far as I am aware all of these are boxed up in their fancy packaging and ready to go. They aren't auto redemptions, so there is no reason that they can't be already boxed. They are just waiting for the rest of the redemptions to come in.
