I wonder if thats one of her teenage sons doing this whole thing. Or is he just using this person to make up stories to get people to feel bad for him.

Okay, a lot of clues are coming in now. Its like our own investigation.
It seems the address matches that of a woman with Kidney issues. It also seems that Vanessa has a son named Tim. Tim also being the name of the person collecting this Paypal.
Could it be a teenager trying to save his mother? As sad as what happened is, this could be a desparate cry for help. It could be a kid making some serious mistakes.

The claim can be cancelled if you get the card, no harm done. If you don't though you have the ball rolling. Plus the more disputed filed, the better our chances IMO. Besides if he didn't screw you he should have no issue contacting you to say what's up.
the time i sent your cards, i also sent jakes......one day later i checked the DC#......it said it arrived in his city post office.......today i checked the DC# again....it gave technical diff.....check back later

I just read this thread as well and talkntribe, you are out of line to post the personal stuff about Vanessa. That is out of line and I hope you edit your posts. Derek has already filed claims with paypal and the post office. Your digging to expose the health issues is over the line and I would be pissed if info like this was posted online about my wife or family member.
Derek, sorry you got scammed but go with the mantra that if it is too good to be true...you know the rest.
