Kobe VS Love: Who's the better MVP candidate?
http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2012/03/09/...minnesota/
As of right now, my nod goes to Kevin Love.
Kobe's performance on the road is far from that of an MVP.
Minnesota is just 1.5 games behind the Lakers in the standings.
The question may sound funny initially, but think about it after reading some of the facts. It's probably much closer than you may have thought. Not that it really matters given the fact that it's a two-man race between Lebron and Durant, but still fun to discuss.

Love is playing great right now. It's hard for me to pick Love over Kobe though. Kobe has injuries that he is playing with, so.... I'll pick Kobe.
I collect LeBron, Jordan, Kobe and anything that catches my eye.

Kevin Love deserves it this year, and I hope he gets it. However it will surprise me if he does as so many of the voters are stuck on Lebron, Kobe, and Durant.

RE: Kobe VS Love: Who's the better MVP candidate?
I've always had an issue when the MVP of any league is given out. I always felt that it should go to the player who helped, contributed, and posted outstanding stats obviiously for their team. Also, ive always feltnitnshould go to that player who was/is on a winning/playoff team.
I look at like this, what would have that team been like without that player? Would they be where they are without he/she.
The Heat without LeBron? Eh, I still think Miami makes it to the playoffs without LeBron.
The Lakers without Kobe? Playoffs...? I say not with without him.
The OKC Thunder without Durant? Again, I think that would be close, but no playoff appearance without either.
So my choice is between Kobe and Durant. Tuff decision. I think when it's all said and done, Kobe gets it just because he's battled and played through some injuries (fractured wrist, broken nise/concussion, etc..) that would have kept other candidates on the bench.
Maybe if Rose stayed healthy if would have had my vote, but I say Kobe as of RIGHT NOW.
