I have been away from card collecting for many years. Found this lying in an old box of stuff left over from closing my card business in 1997. This is not a promo card and it is number 1 of only 4 made. Because there are so few of these there is no BV listed. Any idea what this might be worth, and anyone know anyone that wants it.

The Pawn shop here in town has a whole bunch of those. Most have laser etched autographs in them. I'm willing to bet the 1 of 4 references 4 different styles.

The Beckett database has 5 $2000 Phone cards in the set and the print run is listed at 4. Kinda crazy that they limited the run to 4, but some of those Phone Cards are pretty scarce.

I imagine that the only ones that may be interested in it are your hardcore Steve Young super-collectors. I think you MAY be able to fetch around $50 if you're lucky.

Someone actually listed the entire set on eBay recently. Emmitt got $50... the Young went for $30...

Thought you guys might be a little more aware than this...oh well. That card is the real deal population 4, serial number 1. It is not a promo, and at one time could have been used for $2000 worth of sprint long distance (back when you paid for long distance calls). The calling-code number is unrevealed... Promo cards do not have the lead foil hiding the code number.

Gotta remember... That's a 16 year old card, a lot of people aren't even that old on here, let alone were collecting then. Some of them might not even know the concept of Calling cards... LOL. Also, a lot of novice collectors ask about cards from older sets with where the card numbers were 7 of 25 in the set thinking 7 of 25 is the serial number and not just card #7 in the set of 25. If someone was not aware of the awesomeness of your Young, it would be easy to make the mistake. Good luck with whatever you decide to do with it! That's one of those "shoulda sold it back in the day" cards. It may become more valuable one day, but right now, it just does not have a market. I know the $1000 Marino /7 from Pro Line didn't get bids at $100.
