I don't know if they have already done this this year but i think it would be cool to see in Beckett Baseball about the top 25 paid athletes and the effect on the hobby as far as how much money they make and to wear they have achieved or underachieved at this point.
Just a thought..........

I'd have to say T Helton goes on that list...At 37 he's not the force he once was by any means...And the # for C Beltran...is that his salary or the # of times he's been on the DL this year?

What is his fastball velocity now?

UNDER 80?! LMAO Would'nt surprise me. I remember when he was with the A's he could still get it up to 90 when he wanted even though he was always predominantly off speed stuff.

As a Rockies fan, I think Todd Helton has almost become to the Rockies what Elway was/is to the Broncos...great player, great guy, but not sure he is worth $20 mil a year at 37 years old!
Collecting: Fred McGriff, Chipper, Griffey, and Todd Helton.

No. They at least had someone on the list. Its not surprising that teams with the highest payrolls would have more than one player on it. I see alot of teams not represented. John Lackey has at least played for you guys. The Braves paid Mike Hampton like 30 million (?) for 8 games over a 3 year span. Seems like the Red Sox are getting a better deal. Not 15 million worth, but still.
