RE: HELP ME OUT....
The listing says Rookie Year, not that it's a rookie. Kobe's rookie year being 1996-97 means, at least to my understanding, that any cards labeled 1997 are also considered Rookie Year cards.

96-97 would not be a 97-98

We'll, he describes it as Kobe's rookie card in the item description. And it doesnt list as his rookie either....

I've got that card and it's one of my favourite non-AU/GU cards. Not sure if it's strictly speaking a RC or not, but that shouldn't detract from it's value too much.

You are actually wrong in this case. This card IS considered his rookie card! SPX came out in 1997 that year and thus is listed as purely 1997 not 96-97 nor 97-98. If it was a 97-98 card then it would not be his rookie card but since it is 1997 it is his rookie card. It came out later then most of his other rookie cards that is the only reason they didn't list it as 96-97!!!

If it is the 1997 SPx, then it is not recognised as a rookie card. Just a look at the beckett listings will tell you that is not tagged as a rookie.
Collect Patrick Ewing, Jalen Rose, Kevin Garnett, LaMarcus Aldridge, Jeff Green
if you have less than 25 trades, I will ask you to send first.
