The official "football cards that are currently missing from the online Beckett

The official "football cards that are currently missing from the online Beckett
Near the bottom of the enclosed photo is a card of Tyoka Jackson. He does not appear on too many cards but he does appear on some. According to the listing this card was manufactured in 2003 and is a Rams Team Issue. It reads "Tackle Prostate Cancer" and I do not know at this time if any more cards were printed of other Ram players, although I am inclined to believe so.

RE: The official "football cards that are currently missing from the online Beckett
*UPDATE - In hindsight I am not sure of the legitimacy of this card.

Below is a Tony Banks autograph on a card with a look very similar to the 1996 Leaf set. I think the COA states that 2,000 of these specific auto cards were issued. The bottom left hand corner design is different from that of the regular or parallel sets (that I am aware of). There were 9-10 other cards that are included in the snap case but, to my knowledge, do not contain any distinguishing characteristics from the main card design to make those parallels of the base set. I wonder if these were given away at a national card show or something. Currently I am not aware of any other auto cards like this of other players.

Time to warm this thread up again, can anyone help complete this set.

Not listed in the Annual Football Card Price Guide in detail,
1996 Pacific Gold Crown Die Cuts Platinum or is it 1996 Pacific Platinum Crown Die Cut.

According to the Annual Guide, a Platinum set was released through the Shop At Home network as I think a 10 card set, compared to the 20 card 1996 Pacific Gold Crown Die Cut set.

The cards had different photos, a platinum foil diecut edge and were numbered PC1-PC10. So is it a parallel Gold Crown Die Cut Platinum set or a stand alone Platinum Crown Die Cut set.

Please help with the remaining cards to fill the checklist, I have the following listed as found
PC-1 Curtis Martin (in my collection)
PC-2 Troy Aikman
PC-3 Brett Favre (see scan below)
PC-4 Barry Sanders (see 90's gems thread)
PC-5 Jeff Blake
PC-6 John Elway
PC-7 Terrell Davis
PC-9 Marshall Faulk (see 90's gems thread)
PC-10 Dan Marino

Did some research on the net, found PC-3 Brett Favre, PC-7 Terrell Davis & PC-10 Marino. I think Emmitt Smith must be PC-8, any help would be appreciated

Was looking at my desk, and a card my father gave me caught my eye.

[Image: pack1.jpg][Image: pack2.jpg]

He was in Vegas with a friend, and Dan Currie was working security at one of the casinos. The guy introduced my father to him, and asked for an autograph for me. Couldn't find anything to sign, so Mr. Currie pulls one of these cards out of his jacket and signs it.

Unfortunately I do not know all of the cars/cards in the complete set but besides the Kerry Collins shown below I do know other ones exist for Curtis Enis, Kordell Stewart, Doug Flutie, Donovan McNabb, Jake Plummer, Troy Aikman, and Brett Favre. I am willing to bet there are a number of other different Fleer Die Cast ones as well. I also do not know if the cards enclosed in the packages are re-numbered (although I imagine they would be) or have any other variations.

I submitted the football 1999 Fleer White Rose die cast cars w/cards a couple years ago but unfortunately none were ever added to the OPG, although the baseball ones from the same year are listed. At the time I did not have a checklist but I can confirm there is one now (below):

There is one other thing that I noticed about these enclosed cards, all have been re-numbered! This makes these cards true variants from the Fleer base set released that year. There may be other distinguishing characteristics as well but I cannot discern that at this time. I finally have a Collins one on order as I type so you can be sure that I will be checking that out when I receive it.

Did you rip open those packages yourself to get to those cards? LOL
I think when mine arrives I am just going to leave it as is and display it with all my other non-card collectibles.

I did not think about comparing the foil colors of my 1999 Fleer cards to the one featured in the picture.

So what you are explaining here is that the '99 Fleer, '01 Ultra and '02 Ultra "car cards" all have variations from the respective traditional base sets while the other examples of "car cards" from later years that you have given are not variations. Thanks for expounding further on this specific topic, ginge01. These should all be added to the OPG and the annual Beckett price guides as far as I am concerned.

As far as I know only the 2001 Ultra set is listed, that is unless these other collectibles are classified under a different heading.

Answers to your questions.
Yes, I opened the blister package, I would give the car to my son, I kept the card. Guess who still is interested, I'm acquiring a little line of toy cars on a shelf also!!!

1999, 2001 & 2002 I can vouch for variants in the cards.

2003, 2004 & 2005 for the Jets, matching cards between the Ultra card bought in packs and the card in the car blister pack.

2006 - 2008, specially created Upper Deck cards, not available anywhere else.

2009 released by Press Pass, using the Jets regular Score cards.

2010 released by Press Pass, using the Jets regular Panini Prestige cards

In the Beckett Price Guide, there are two years which have been recorded.
2001 Ultra White Rose Die Cast
2002 Fleer Collectibles
