I think Beckett got off easy. They should have given him the card and $300 AND the $200 of credit. The card, even in a lower grade still has future value.
When somebody F's-up your stuff due to their stupid negligence they should do much more than help that 'injured party' break even. IMO.
I guess if I saved used tinfoil and used tea bags instead of old comic books and old baseball cards, the difference between a crazed hoarder and a savvy collector is in that inherent value.

I would say that card is worth an easy $500 as a 9.5/10 on a very bad day. I agree, Beckett got off easy imho.
My biggest question is why would Beckett keep the card?

The interesting thing will be to see if the card ends up on eBay, Beckett Auctions, or somewhere else. I would think that if the card sells for more than $300, then you might be a bit more pissed.

I think that you did the best you could given the circumstances, but I think that Beckett keeping the card was a cheap shot on their part. Somebody that sends in as many cards as you do for grading is a customer that Beckett needs to treat properly.
