Yeah, definitely, but I always try to look at it like this.
I imagine a "virtual card shop" in my mind, where both the card I traded away and the card I traded for are sitting in a glass showcase.
I ask myself, if they were right next to each other and I could only afford one, which one would I pick?
And most of the time it's the one I traded for.
I also generally try to trade the same "caliber" of cards when possible ... so rookie for rookie, auto for auto, insert for insert, etc.
Not all the time, obviously, but then that way I'm not thinking two years later "oh, crap, I traded Prospect Auto X for a bunch of Mike Trout base cards" or whatever.
Although I have done that, LOL.
The other thing to remember is that in most cases, you can usually get another copy of the card through this site or on the bay if you really end up missing it.
Plus, you never know when you might pull something that your trading partner would actually like better than what you originally traded him, so it's always possible to get it back!
