The card in question was a Topps Inception Montee Ball Auto RC

Sigh - corners & edges it is. As bad as National Treasures in trying to Gem them out. Centering is so low weighted on those its not funny. A 9 is a well produced item- get a Gem and personally I'd consider it a conquest. An 8.5 is actually like getting a mint grade back.

Topps QC at its usual crap producing level. Been that way forever they take no time at all QC their stuff ( its a candy company= cards are just an extra sideline business that really isn't worried about and hasn't been for 60+ years ).

Spend time looking at the corners & edges on the next sub of Inception items.

Put it to you this way, I pulled a redemption Mark Ingram/ Cam Newton dual rookie auto from 2011 Inception. Redemption. No chance for pack pulled damage.

Corners were dinged to the point the card got an overall 7.5. The only handling that should have been done was AT Topps.


As Jeff said, their QC sucks.
