Picked up a nice non-HOFer at the LCS today
Stopped in for some supplies and left with this. Just couldn't resist.

Only thing I saw was the answer to the question on the back was scratched so you could see it. NM or EXMT? I paid EX+ price. Set builder thats also looking for all vintage Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia A's. Phillies team sets finished: 1952 Bowman, 1959 Topps |

Nice pickup. I always love adding vintage. In fact, that is the way I am moving with my collection. Not as much resale value as the newer stuff. But won't go down either.
BTW, it's nice you picked it up at Ex prices. My LCS prices it at full book no matter the condition. That might come down maybe 10% depending on how much you spend. They had a Berra/Mantle '57 that was probably in Ex condition at best and wanted $1K for it. This summer I picked it up at another at an LCS in central Texas for about half of that. |
