Ever since i was a kid (not that I am old) I was drawn to the 56 topps set. I recently tried to start to build it and I am at about 150/350 with a lot of stars included. However, I then got bit by the pre-war bug and started buying more playballs and goudeys. I really love the goudeys...especially the 33's. I realized I could never build the 1933 goudey set, and then i noticed the heads-up 1938 goudey set. There are only 48 in the set and even though there are several (the dimaggios and the fellers) that are expensive I have begun trying to build it. I realized I cannot get them in better then EX condition. I recently purchased several in VG/EX condition and three PSA 4's. I will settly for PSA 3's with good eye appeal...but mostly looking for 4's and 5's for the commons and maybe 3's for the stars. Right now I have 10 of the 48 and still going strong....but it will be a slow process.
