Market correction. After last season, everything shot up, and kept going up after he signed with the Dodgers. Eventually, the demand slows and the market corrects. RCs will maintain, Dodgers stuff will spike as it comes out before settling in, non-RC Angels stuff will lower back down.

The other thing I glossed over in my brain is people's concerns over his involvement in the gambling scandal. While it's likely he'll be protected from on high if he is involved, it certainly scared some people off - probably more on the lower to mid-end stuff than those that were investing in the high-end items.
