I need a distraction from life-please answer question

I need a distraction from life-please answer question
I have been unemployed for 25 days and my Mom in California is barely hanging on, so I need something to avert my thoughts.

If you were to put together a MLB team to entertain fans and not necessarily win a World Series, what current 11 players would you take?  Which retired players?

C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, LF, CF, RF, DH, SP, RP

Really good question!

C- J.T. Realmuto- Hits well, and can fly for a catcher. Hate when he plays the Braves though!
1B- Jose Abreu-  Just plays the game the right way, and all his young teammates look up to him.
2B- Whit Merrifeld- He's from my hometown, and can just plain hit.
3B- Kris Bryant- Always seemed like a good guy, like watching him play.
LF- Brett Gardner- Another homegrown guy from SC that I've just always liked.
CF- Dale Murphy- Well because none of the CFs really do much more for me at the moment.
RF- Ronald Acuna Jr.- Um, because he's RONALD ACUNA JR.
DH- Shohei Ohtani- When fully healthy this kid is flat out scary.
SP- Jake Arrieta- I just like ole Jake!
RP- Nate Jones- Yeah here's where the entertainment comes in. Check out this dudes "oh look batter HERE'S the ball" throwing motion, and you'll shake your head and wonder how he's in the big leagues too.

Also, hope the employment thing gets worked out soon!

ETA, yeah guess my reading comprehension kinda sucks on Saturdays!

Hang in there dude, I hope this rough time ends soon .

C, Jorge Posada - gotta have a Yankee on this team.
1B, Jeff Bagwell - lots of good options here but good ol baggy pants gets the nod.
2B, Ryne Sandberg - a Chicago fan favorite
SS, Ozzie Smith - the defensive wizard
3B, Adrian Beltre - touch his head at your own risk.
LF, Ricky Henderson - the only thing better than his sweet stroke or base running skills is his mile-a-minute mouth!
CF, Ken Griffey Jr - dispensing home runs while robbing them, fun every inning.
RF, Bobby Bonilla - the Mets ensured he would be talked about at least once a year for what feels like forever.
DH, Frank Thomas - the Big Hurt, the best thing to come out of the south side.
SP, Terry Mulholland - no runner on first is safe with his filthy pick off move.
RP, Mitch Williams - will the ball reach the strike zone? Will he fall over this time?

Yes, I did grow up in the 90s, why do you ask?

RE: I need a distraction from life-please answer question
C: Yogi Berra (baseball is 90 percent mental and the other half is physical)
1B: Dennis Rodman (trash talk runners on first)
2B: Muhammad Ali (nothing will get past him, especially base runners)
SS: Misty May-Treanor & Kerri Walsh Jennings (beach volleyball - talk about distraction)
3B: Bobby Knight (If he can get a chair across the field, a baseball will be nothing)
LF: Usain Bolt (he should be able to cover the entire outfield)
CF: Peyton Manning (precision arm)
RF: Manny Ramirez (he and Peyton will forget there is a game going on)
DH: Hulk Hogan (he might be able to hit balls too)
SP: Nolan Ryan (hoping for a batter dumb enough to charge the mound)
RP: John McEnroe (serving up those aces)

I am sorry to hear about your mom, and job situation.  This, too, shall pass.

Love the question.
C- A.J. Pierzynski- could get a crowd fired up, loved to argue with everyone
1B- John Kruk- Beer Leaguer who could rake, always had fun until he retired mid-game
2B- Orlando Hudson- one of the most happy likeable players ever- very chatty
SS- Rey Ordonez- tremendous skills, better than Ozzie in my opinion
3B- Steve Lyons- Psycho just weird and quirky
LF- Nick Swisher - power and joy
CF- Mickey Rivers - ridiculous quotes, total clown who could play at a high level
RF- Manny Ramirez - nuff said, one of the most entertaining players of all time
DH- David Ortiz- Smiles an bombs
SP- Mark Fidrych- he talked to the dirt and the ball
RP- Al Hrabosky- the Mad Hungarian took intimidation to levels unreached by anyone to this day

Manny and Ortiz are PC players because of their personalities on and off the field.

1st, peace and prayers to you and your mom.

Active Players - these are players I would pay to see/have seen in person:

C: J.T. Realmuto Phillies
1B: Freeman Braves (only when not playing the Phillies)
2B: Fletcher Angels - great player!
SS: Tatis Padres -
3B: Bohm Philles (yes; I am a homer!)
LF: Acunua Braves - my team - I can play them where I want - also, not when playing the Phillies
CF: Trout Angels
RF: Harper Phillies
DH: Cruz Twins (put down a name though I prefer NL baseball)
SP: Kershaw Dodgers
RP: Chapman Yankees

No Longer Playing - had to have seen them play in person -

C: Ted Simmons - Cardinals
1B: Richie Allen Phillies - my 1st game I ever saw in person - hit a foul ball that would have killed me if it hit me - have never seen a ball move that fast (for a little kid)
2B: Utley Phillies
SS: Ripkin Orioles
3B: Schmidt Phillies
LF: Aaron Braves
CF: Mays - Mets (tiny little boy but I remember him hitting a triple at the Vet)
RF: Clemente Pirates (tiny little boy)
DH:
SP: Carlton Phillies
RP: Mitch Williams Phillies
*When it's all said and done - all we have left is our reputation.

Thanks!  My Dad was a church pastor for over 45 years and my 80-year old Mom has E coli, leukemia and colon cancer.
