2019 Topps Update
Good morning,
There is seemingly an insane number of hot prospects making their debut early this season. Are we going to see these rookies in Series 2 Topps or Topps Update? Topps Update will sell like hot cakes if Guerrero Jr, Tatis Jr, Kieboom, Alonso, and Jiminez are in it.

They will do Series 2 SSPs on of a couple of the guys and slap RC logos on them, even though they are inserts/variations.

I'm hoping for Topps Update. I haven't bought anything other than blasters for a while so I am saving my money so I can buy a couple hobby or jumbos of Topps Update when it comes out.

I purchased two boxes of 2018 Topps Update and was able to put together a full base set, more than half of the insert sets, and have plenty of trade bait left over.
Unfortunately, the 6 autos were not up to par for the price I paid.

Getting 6 autos out of 2 boxes of Update would've made me happy no matter who they were. Normally autos are 1 per Jumbo box and most hobby boxes are a single relic card.

Oh, I meant 6 hits (2 autos and 4 relic cards)...thanks for the correction!

If the debuted in April than I say the usually show up in series 2 as they have 6 weeks and is a simple base cards. As for Tatis and Guerrero they probably already had them figured into the set before they played a game.

Heritage High Number might be good, too. This year should have many many hot RC cards.

I guess if I saved used tinfoil and used tea bags instead of old comic books and old baseball cards, the difference between a crazed hoarder and a savvy collector is in that inherent value.
