Donnie Hill 1991 Upper Deck Printing error?

Donnie Hill 1991 Upper Deck Printing error?
My son recently came across a 1991 Donnie Hill card that has what appears to be a printing error. In the link below you can find the players position (IF) appears to be printed twice with the second printing overlapping the first.

I couldn't find any example like it on the net. I'm not a serious collector, but was curious whether these types of errors were common and whether they had any value.

Thanks!

Sorry. Pretty much a common printing error and virtually valueless, except if you find a Donnie Hill supercollector. Smile

I guess if I saved used tinfoil and used tea bags instead of old comic books and old baseball cards, the difference between a crazed hoarder and a savvy collector is in that inherent value.

Errors in the late 80s and well in to the 90s were common, but very few have any value over the correct version.
I focus my PC on Ken Griffey Jr but I also collect Jay Buhner, Steve Largent and Ryan Bader. Secondary collection: Seattle teams & Univ. of Arizona

Thanks for the response. Totally what I was guessing. The good news is he is still excited to have an error card (regardless of value). thanks again!

Technically it wouldn't be considered an error card. It is a misprint or flawed card. Same as a seriously miscut card is not considered an error card. Error cards are more associated with having misinformation printed on them. Your card is flawed due to a mistake in the printing process.
I collect Hall of Fame baseball player cards and cards of current and retired superstars.

Of course you are correct it's a miscut/ misprint, but whether or not, the key is that a kid is excited about baseball cards! WooHoo ... our hobby has a chance of surviving the computer/digital age. Smile
