Catching up: 2017 so far so good

Catching up: 2017 so far so good
Some good pick ups, some great breaks and an awesome trade has really kept me going throughout the winter.
A recent lot purchase: Luis Tiant auto ... one of the most awesome pitchers overlooked by The HOF. His numbers are great and match up to or exceed several current HOFers. (Catfish Hunter comes to mind) anyway, I could go on and on.(if any boston fan has a Tiant in a Yankees uni, maybe we can do a hostage exchange Smile ) Ron Blomberg (the first DH) and several others round out this group

A recent online break got me seeing double
two Strata Machado relics and two Jordan Guerrero autos from Chrome

Also a really nice bowman chrome Jordan Stevens /50

AND .... last but not least, my favorite new card thanks to an awesome trading partner : 2009 Jeter Signature Stars Auto

I'm sure I'm missing some cards ... I'll post them as well as some new EEE expected in the mail soon. Thanks for looking.

I guess if I saved used tinfoil and used tea bags instead of old comic books and old baseball cards, the difference between a crazed hoarder and a savvy collector is in that inherent value.

Hey DrMitchJ, It took me a while to write this post, had to go out to the kitchen and get a few paper towels. I was drooling all over my keyboard for the Jeter auto. VERY nice pickup.

The Jeter definitely stands out but the Tiant is a card I would like to have in my collection also.

Love Luis and I agree that he matches up with some HOFers. Great cards btw.
I collect Hall of Fame baseball player cards and cards of current and retired superstars.

Thanks Brian. Sorry for the excess drool and hope your keyboard is okay Smile
Thanks to my generous trade partner for making a mutually beneficial offer. We're both happier thanks to little signed cardboard pictures. If only everyone could be so easily satisfied ... the world would be a better place. Smile

Nice cards! Any interest in selling or trading 1 of the Park EEE patch/autos?

After I cleaned up all of my drool, got on ebay to see if I could find the same Jeter auto. I didn't, but I did find several Whitey Ford autos/relics. I'll post in a separate thread so you can see them DrMitch.

Thanks.
Tiant 229 wins 3.30 ERA WAR 66.1
Hunter 224 wins 3.26 ERA 36.6
Jim Bunning 224 wins 3.27 ERA WAR 60.3
There are guys better than him, but he has legit numbers, he was a top notch performer and had one of the best pitching deliveries of all time. I tried to imitate him and almost killed 2 batters. Smile

Thanks, Aaron. I don't know if the Veteran Committee can still elect Tiant into the Hall, but they sure as heck ought to do it.

Thank you. Years ago, I was lucky enough to pack pull a Ford/Rizzuto dual auto which knocked off two from my want list in one fell swoop. Smile
