Hey guys just wondering about this 2001 Topps Stadium Club Albert Pujols RC, because I couldn't find it on Beckett, I know they are on eBay, but just wondering why Beckett doesn't have it?? Any info on the card would be appreciated, thanks!

According to Topps, they released the 2001 Stadium Club late in 2000 so Pujols and Ichiro did not make the checklist.

Yeah, the thing that confused me was that people had it listed on eBay as 2000, 2001, and 2002. I also couldn't find 2002 SC on Beckett at first. Just wondering though, do people still consider this to be his Stadium Club RC??

According to Cardboard Connection, there is no Stadium Club RC, although the 2002 SC card is the 1st release for Pujols.

I don't lend much credence to what people put on eBay, as some people don't know and other straight up lie in order to garner sales from unsuspecting buyers. The card is not a RC, but it is his first Stadium Club card. A LONG time ago Beckett used to distinguish 1st cards for each product, but that ended decades ago, and back when there were only 4-5 products to pick from.

Yeah, I remember that, with eBay I normally look on there just to see what others think, granted that some will lie to get more. I was also, confused because the back of the card said 2001 Topps.

Looking at the copyrights can be confusing, since some cards are designed and printed the same year and others are not released until the following year. I usually look at the stats, as usually the stats are from the previous year, though not always as more sometimes late year products have stats from the current year.

Yeah, that's kinda what I assumed happened with this one. Just didn't know for sure so I asked the pros.
