Have you been buying boxes to bust wax and find them in a pack? That would be awesome!!

I did buy a few boxes some years ago, but the problem I encountered, besides getting dups, is that the cards tended to stick together. I've read that this is a common problem with older boxes. Sometimes they pull apart without damaging the cards, but most of the time they do not.

I built this set with all methods available: trading on Beckett, buying on Beckett Marketplace, COMC, Sportslot, and of course lots of eBay.

I'm hoping that I can complete it within the next year, EXCEPT for the Nomo. For some unknown reason that card never pops up.

Unfortunately, that is a huge problem with wax packs from the 1990's. The glossy fronts were snazzy at the time but now cause huge problems, and worthless cards.

There is a local shop that has a huge inventory of 1990's wax boxes and I've been thinking about buying something that I've never opened before. I'll check and see if they have a box of 1997 New Pinnacle and let you know what I pull!

FINALLY picked up the elusive Nomo... no way was I going to let this one slip through my fingers. I'd only seen 1 on COMC, and 1 on eBay, both after the fact, since 09. Now it's down to the final five!
