Joke of a grade and unbelievable cut job
I am not sure which is more ridiculous, the grade of Gem Mint 10 on the "Auto Grade Only" or when the postcard was cut to fit into the card that they cut part of the autograph off. The cut job is a joke when you consider that the postcard wasn't even cut to look centered.

Did you actually see this card in person?
Looks to me as if there is a GQ/A&G-like mini frame-holder around that card, and the auto might be intact, just a shift of the card inside the frame. At least that's how I see it. Could be wrong, but I don't think any grading company could have missed THAT so blatantly.
I guess if I saved used tinfoil and used tea bags instead of old comic books and old baseball cards, the difference between a crazed hoarder and a savvy collector is in that inherent value.

Looking at the scan of the back of the card, this is exactly what happened. You can see each corner of the postcard in the back of the frame.
This is one of the biggest reasons I like what COMC does. They scan both sides of every card with the ability to zoom in.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure those were in an envelope like holder.

So it looks like the auto is intact and it's just covered by the frame it was placed into?

Good call, and my bad. I didn't even notice that the card was framed using slits. That makes me feel much better about my faith in card companies and graders. Thanks for pointing that out.

Yeah, if you look on the back, you can see the corners are through the holder, but not sitting symmetrically. The holder is bordering the card and there's overlap and/or shifting. I'm certain the grading company couldn't have been that far off base.

You would think they could make it so that the entire autograph is visible though. I hate when they are not fully exposed. Takes away from the beauty of the auto itself!
