RE: Juan Gonzalez Holy Grail!
Congrats on a great looking card and accomplishing your quest. Interesting read....finally figured out that the 1 of 1 below the card related to the upload/scan of the card (but I'm I moron so it takes me awhile).
Great comment by Dom and a thing we all forget from time to time....a lot of cards excluding low serial numbered, go into PCs never to be seen again.

Sorry Matt, wasn't trying to insinuate anything
. I remember going to the LCS with my dad(who was not a collector) and seeing all the awesome looking cards in the displays. I guess the love of shiney things just never wore off lol.

Thanks man, and yeah I agree ! There is no telling how many of the 241 of these that haven't seen the light of day or exchanged hands since 1993

Nice pick up. The 1993 refractors are beautiful. That's a great add to the PC!

I don't know how much you Paid on that Gonzo Refractor, but for my PC guy (Nolan Ryan), they are not cheap at all. I see lots on eBay, but they're all well over $1,000.
Congrats on the Great card!!

Yeah lots of these go for insane prices. I couldn't believe I saw one on eBay that started at .99. Most of these that I have seen have either started crazy high for an auction or have a crazy high buy it now price.

Thanks man. This was one of the first cards of his that I started chasing a year ago and the first true opportunity that I have had to get one... I was not missing out haha.

Congratulations! How long have you been looking for this one?
I appreciate Chicago players that begin competing within the city's sports organizations and stay with these teams throughout their careers.

That's how I am with griffey, I finally just gave up even searching ebay. Maybe I'll run across a gracious trader one day!
I'll tell you what though, if you ever get the griffey and I get the nolan I will trade you haha!

Over a year now, pretty much since I got back into the hobby. Like I said when I saw the .99 auction I was like yup I'm getting this one! Haha. And then I still barely got it. I set my max bid I was willing to go and it shot up at the last second to just under it. Whoever it was could have beat me with only 1 more dollar haha. Good for me though!

I need the Ivan Rodriguez one for my PC, but I can't get myself to consider spending that much on the card.
