BGS Question

BGS Question
I sent a 2002 Fleer Showcase Derek Jeter Legacy Collection YC AUTO of Derek Jeter to be graded (card and auto). I got an email that says I should send it to JSA.

My question is why? Especially since I've seen this card graded (both card and auto) and auctioned on Ebay.

Any ideas?

JSA for the auto obviously. Maybe they feel it needs verification. idk

That's what I thought. But on Ebay a few months ago the same card was up for auction and that was graded by BGS. That card obviously wasn't sent to JSA....

RE: BGS Question
usually, that shifts a change in policy. the card that was graded was done so before that policy change. why the policy change? maybe fakes have entered the market
also, because of jeter's retirement, there have been a ton of fake jeter autos on ebay in the past 3 months, both cards and balls
