Yup, I'd run some anti virus and spyware scans you've got something going on there buddy.

just checked my security software and no virus detected. This is the only site I've been on that it's done that, but it's not doing it tonight. I'll run the virus scan again just to make sure though.

What you need to do is click on the three bar icon and then on manage search engines. There you will see that a recent download has changed your search engines.

When you download a program it will ask you to add things. You must say no to all of them..., One of them doesn't give you that option so you need to delete it. that is the one that vauses all of the trouble.

Good luck getting rid of the search engines Sometimes you must delete them several times. you can also search your system for a program using the same name and delete them too.

Well, if it's not one thing its another with this broken site. Since I've logged on the site within the past 30 minutes I have been bombarded with pop-up ads, tried to be redirected to different sites, and even having these random words underlined and when I go to move my cursor over them a window comes up. I just want to be able to get on the site, do what I need to do and that's it.

Here's an idea Beckett: Fix the site to where it's functional and tolerable without all these extra bells and whistles everywhere. Screw the coins, the fanshop, the auctions, and the fantasy crap on this site. And on top of it all, now your data will be deleted if you don't pay??? PATHETIC.

grab the free version of malwarebytes, install, update to latest version/database - fun full system scan. come back a little later

i second the reco on malwarebytes. also, cc cleaner, which really allows you to clean up even after a virus (like you get to see and change what programs start when you run your computer). also allows you to fix registry with one button click

cc cleaner is a great free program to use for basic routine maintenance on a PC for sure!

malwarebytes / cc cleaner / AVG free edition are my three gotos.

granted even if I did get a virus or pick up malware I know my way around a computer to kill it - but yeah those three are the ones I use to recommend / still recommend fully to people
