It reminds me so much of this book I have (and this is where I first heard of Masanori Murakami - only one of two major leaguers at the time that didn't speak English; the other was Yogi Berra [according to the book!]) The Great American Baseball Card Flipping, Trading and Bubble Gum Bookfunny, I was just leafing through that yesterday, some how it ended up on top of a pile of cards on my card table in the basement. I glanced at the Authors notes about how great an idea it was to write a book about baseball cards, because there were none at that time. It made me want to sit down and read the whole book again!
