1990 CMC Baseball Card
Good afternoon.
I'm hoping that someone out there can help me out with a card ID.
I have two (2) 1990 CMC 347 cards of Rob Ducey. My problem is that the card fronts are identical, the backs are quite different - one has a thumb print pic of Ducey on a yellow background. The other card's has a thumb print of the Syracuse Chiefs logo on a green background. The other difference is the number 21 , the card with Ducey pic has the number with a yellow background while the card with the Chiefs logo has the number 21 on a white background. I have checked other pic of the card and they all are comparable to the card with Ducey's pic on the back. I have not been able to find another card with the Chiefs logo on the back. I'm wondering if the card with the Chiefs logo/ green background and # 21 on white background is a fake ? I would sure appreciate comments on these cards. Thanks.

Appreciate your help, I looked over the answer you provided, the description of the Syracuse set matches the card up to the data/stats. The card is suppose to be with a yellow background, the card I have has a green background. The other card with the Ducey pic on the back has a yellow background. What's up ?

Hi
I'm still waiting an answer on what's up with the 1990 Ducey cards. I sent a pic of the cards in question to Beckett but never heard back. I'm not all that capable with using my scanner but I can send pics to an email address. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like one card is from the CMC se and the other is from the team set made by CMC.

I'm sure you are correct about one card being the CMC set and the other being the CMC team set. According to Beckett the CMC team set cards have a yellow background, the card I have has a green background. So either the card is an error card or Beckett has the card description wrong. Still looking for the answer.

honestly, without pictures, no one will be able to help you. it sounds like your card was green but has faded, something not uncommon. this would give it a yellow appearance
and even if this was some kind of an error, it would be a flaw, not something worth anything (especially since it is doucy)
