It IS listed in older Beckett Yearly Price Guides as "Special retail packs" which refers to retailers like 7-11, Target or Walmart exclusives.

I'm SURE they exist, just that the quantities were sooooooooo limited!

So if I understand both you and Marino correctly, you two believe that the silver parallels do indeed exist. Also, assuming your other comments are true as well, the silver parallel cards have silver foil crowns, and not the base gold, and were offered exclusively through retail packs.

Originally I was beginning to think that this parallel was something that was supposed to be released but then scrapped by Pacific at the last minute...or perhaps there were some blue holofoil parallels that unintentionally had a silver-like tinge and were mistaken as a legitimate parallel by collectors.
