Before my big purge I had a low key PC of older players in Oakland A's uniforms ... Piazza, Frank Thomas, David Justice, Nomar, etc. ... it was pretty funny to see how many guys played in Oakland toward the end of their careers.

DAMMIT!  I missed this news!  I was hoping he'd go to St. Louis.

This is why I love Traded sets so much. Of course, players didn't change teams as often 30-40 years ago!
All-time favorite insert card designs:

  1. 1991 Donruss Elite
  2. 1995 Studio Platinum
  3. 1994 Flair Hot Glove
  4. 1993 Ultra Award Winners
  5. 2001 Bowman Heritage Chrome
  6. 1994 Fleer All-Stars

Not for nothing, but the other day I won a Mike Piazza 1998 Fleer Tradition base card in his Marlins uniform cheap on the bay.

(I have these leftover gift cards all with less than a dollar, so I try to pick up cheap PC cards here and there.)

When I did some additional research on the card, I realized that he also has base cards with the Dodgers and Mets ... in the same set.

(He was traded twice that year and only played for the Marlins for a week.)

Talk about hustle - nice job, Fleer!

Does he actually have a different uniform and picture for each card or is it the same card with just a different team logo. Just curios.

Upper Deck also got all three that year:

I'm always open to trading.  My wants are varied (multiple sets from 1980 to now and some misc. players) and all my wants are marked.  Open offers welcome!
