With the 2013 draft coming up this weekend, I thought it would be a good time to share my biggest project of the 2012 season....the Mirror Black Freshman Fabric Prime Auto set.

I've learned over the last 3 years of doing this that it is not a good idea to share the set until I'm convinced I'm near an endpoint.

A lot of people go underground with these, so it's hard to figure out how many are out there. Add to that Panini either holding them back and never releasing them and sellers in 2012 putting some crazy numbers out there pricewise (numbers not seen since 2006) and it makes it unlikely to see a whole lot more.

I got to 12 a lot faster than in previous years. I'm pretty pleased with the group I have so far. I will continue to work with this set (if the price is right) because I like the design better than any previous years. If only there were on-card autos! Yet, with stickers, there are more redemptions than in the past 3 years.

They definitely look better together. I would love to get my hands on a few more. Was thinking about jumping into the Contenders/NT/5-Star arena just to pick something up that might be tradeable to a super collector in case they beat me to the Certified.

I still have the Emerald Jones. Things have been so chaotic of late. I'm just now starting to get organized in the new place. Anyone whose ever bought a short sell house knows they aren't exactly move in ready. I've finding stuff I haven't seen in years.

With my luck, Jones will blow up this year after I've gotten rid of it (just like Kaepernick did after I sold my extra). Lol

I've always got either my iPhone or iPad on hand. We 'll work something out.

Individually, not as cool looking as the Emerald. But together, they look better tan the Emerald.

I love this set because it truly is different than the cards in Gold and Emerald. Thy are essentially the same cards with a different background.
