How do you tell if it is a refractor?

No but I think it is the base It does not say refractor on it anywhere.

Scans would help. Plus is it 04-05 or 05-06

2004-05 and 2005-06 both say refractor on the back of the card by the card number.

Also it should be easy to tell if you hold it in the light. It will have a rainbow/prism effect to the card surface.
