I sent in 8 cards that were 1998 or newer in Wendy's last submission, 5 of them were 9.5's and the rest were 9's. No jeweler's loupe, no wiping, just eyeballing. You can usually tell just by looking. Like Gonzo said- you can usually see it in the reflection.

I see the benefits of the loupe and the grid that England talked about in his guide thread, just not for the casual submitter (like me).

The method JoeCallahan13 and myself use is much, much slower but just as effective IMO.

The loupe and grid method sounds lightning fast when you have lots of stuff you want to inspect for a submission.
