I found my wife's grid type thing she uses for scrapbooking, and it makes inspecting the centering super easy and fast.
I would suggest blasting the cards with a can of compressed air if you have one handy, there's always one by my computer. Getting as much dust off before wiping will help, especially with foil or chrome cards.

This just made me sick to my stomach with the possible outcome would be if by some chance liquid came out (which with shaken cans or cans tilted slightly sometimes do....)
I would go to harbor freight and get a hobby compressor for like 30$ and get a push button attachment and put a piece of nylon over the hole to stop dust and debris.
its also cheaper in the long run and you can use it for a lot more
just my 3 cents
