I will take credit for helping to get those numbers over the years...LOL. Congrats and good luck to keeping it going.

RE: My 1000 Card Club
Seven months ago I was seven cards short of adding the 31st member to my 1000 card club. This weekend I reached that milestone with my 1000th and 1001st unique cards of Rafael Palmeiro. He has been a low priority for me but nevertheless, I still collect him. I have updated the numbers on my original post to reflect my current collection. Several players leapfrogged other players on this list since my last post, most notably, Greg Maddux surpassed Barry Bonds for third place on my list.

Barry Larkin is next at 45 cards away. That's probably going to take more than a year.

RE: My 1000 Card Club
This weekend I went to a card show and four of the cards I picked up were Barry Larkin cards, three of which I did not have. I now have 1002 different Beckett recognized cards of Barry Larkin making him the 32nd member of my 1000 card club. It has been 27 months since I've surpassed 1000 unique cards with a new player. Bonus as one of the cards was a 1995 Studio Gold Series which I thought I already had but picked up anyway just in case and could probably trade and then when I got it home and flipped it over, I noticed that it was autographed on the back. Sweet! I have updated the numbers on my original post to reflect my current collection. Once again several players leapfrogged other players on the list since my last post. I added more than 400 unique Nolan Ryan cards to my collection in the same time it took me to acquire the 45 Larkin cards I needed for him to make the club.

I like what you did there Kerry. Congrats on your 32nd member. That is pretty amazing to have that many cards of that many hall of famers.
