Question regarding rainbow sets

Question regarding rainbow sets
I was wondering what is considered a rainbow set? Does one need the superfractor and the plates to have a completed rainbow set? With some players, particularly rookies, you also have autographs. Do you need one of each of those too? Appreciate any information on rainbows besides Roy G Biv and there is no pot of gold at the end. Thanks.

RE: Question regarding rainbow sets
Personally, I believe this is all in the eye of the beholder. Is it reasonable to collect everything down to cards limited to /5 or /10? Probably depends on your pocketbook. If you are just collecting a certain players rainbow, I would think that you might want to give superfractors and Printing plates a try. But with 4 plates and 1 Super, even the deepest pockets may never find them all because some could be sitting in shelved cases, not to be opened for years.

RE: Question regarding rainbow sets
To me, I'd say all /25 and above would be more than legit.

RE: Question regarding rainbow sets
yeah anything 1/1 or in that range it's going to be impossible to get all 4 versions of a printing plate or a Superfractor.

My definition would be all the different color parallels again with the exception being Superfractors and 1/1's. The /5 and /10's will be hard and expensive but they are possible.

I agree with this as I don't think plates are cards (as plates are used to create cards).
Bowman: home of the pre-rookie card.

My complete rainbow of Vics including both 1/1s. I think it makes rainbows even that much more special.
