I just got my DC# from D&A for my hobby case of Allen and Ginter so hopefully it will be here in the next couple of days. As I have read the descriptions of the cases there is supposed to be a RIP card 1 per hobby case.

Simple question for everyone; Assuming I will pull a RIP I’m looking for a vote of open it or leave it closed.

The only thing I have my mind set on is if by some miracle I pull a Dustin Pedroia RIP then it gets put into my PC as is.

Appreciate your opinions.

It would depend on who it is, if its really good keep as is, if its a common one rip it.

I like captdolo's philosophy:
Serial #'d 10 or less, sell it!
Star or HOF'er #'d 25 or less, sell it!
Anything else...RIP IT!!!!

I have pulled two rip cards. One was a shane victorino that had a Dice-K mini in it and the other was a Mike Piazza that had a Jermaine Dye mini in it. Based off those two results, I should have sold them unripped.

Ask yourself this, are you looking for money to recoup the cost of the case? If so, sell it. If you're trying to gamble that you'll pull a decent mini auto or wood mini, your odds are against you.

I would sell it no matter what and get some money back lol, if you rip it and the card isn't very good you'll be kicking yourself in the butt for not selling it!
