Help with 1989 Baseball Nova Promos
Lately, I have been in the market for a set of the 1989 Baseball Star Nova Promo cards. Yet, after doing my research, I have seen some sellers around the country offering the yellow back promos in both a gloss and non-gloss (matte) finish, especially the Griffeys. Does anyone know for sure if Star created two types of promo cards or if one is a fake identifier? If there were two types made, then is there a higher print run with one over the other?
I haven't been able to find any information on the two. Any information would be fantastic!
One more thing I wanted to add. I have never went after uncut sheets. What is the community's consensus on an uncut sheet vs a factory cut card since you can't really get an uncut sheet graded currently?
